Environmental Management

Based on the "Environmental Policy" approved by the Board of Directors, we are continuously working on environmental issues. We have established the SDGs Promotion Committee chaired by the Representative Director, President & CEO. The committee is composed of the Representative Director, Executive Vice President & CFO, the Director & COO, and Executive Officers to manage negative impact on the environment from our business. The committee discusses and deliberates topics such as climate change, human rights, and governance, reporting the results and progress to the Board of Directors.

We are promoting decarbonization across all our businesses, including the supply chain. We have announced "the 2030 Carbon Neutral Declaration" to achieve net-zero emissions for our own operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 2030, and have set a "Net Zero" goal for our entire supply chain (Scope 3) by 2050.

These targets are verified by SBTi (Science Based Targets Initiative), an international organization dedicated to addressing climate change.

In addition, we are implementing various programs to solve environmental and social issues in collaboration with industry organizations, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Third-Party Verification

In order to ensure high reliability of its reported environmental data, along with its group company SoftBank Corp. and LY Corporation underwent third-party verifications by the Japan Quality Assurance Organization, for objective evaluation of their environmental data.
The Japan Quality Assurance Organization conducted verification in accordance with "ISO 14064-3" for GHG emissions and with "ISAE3000" for Energy consumption, Renewable energy consumption and Renewable energy usage rate, Water consumption and Water Intensity, and Amount of industrial waste disposal. The verification was conducted to a limited level of assurance and quantitative materiality was set at 5 percent each of the total emissions, consumption and amount of disposal in the Reports. For more information, please refer to the following link.
Based on the procedures described above, nothing has come to our attention that caused us to believe that the statement of the information regarding the LY Corporation Group's FY2024 GHG emissions from Scope 1, 2 and 3, Energy consumption, Renewable energy consumption and Renewable energy usage rate, Water consumption and Water Intensity, and Amount of industrial waste disposal in the Reports, is not materially correct, or has not been prepared in accordance with the Rules.
