"HELLO! Collection ZOZO × Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art" Held

From Saturday, April 6, 2024, to Sunday, May 19, 2024, we held the "HELLO! Collection ZOZO × Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art" in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art.

This event featured five art pieces by Yuki Ida, Ayako Rokkaku, Hi-dutch, Koichi Yairi, and Yu Nagaba, which were used as key visuals on the top page of the Luxury & Designers zone "ZOZOVILLA" on ZOZOTOWN. Additionally, the collection of the Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art, which marks its 50th anniversary, was exhibited.

By displaying contemporary art created by emerging artists owned by our company alongside works from the Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art that have pursued new expressions since the modern era, we were able to showcase how art has evolved and influenced each other over various periods to approximately 11,000 visitors.

During the exhibition period, we conducted eight workshops for children under the theme "Creating New Value" with artists Yuki Ida, Hi-dutch, and Koichi Yairi. About 230 children participated in these workshops, experiencing special interactions with the artists and engaging with art. The works created by the workshop participants were also displayed at the venue during the exhibition period. (※)

(※) As one of our four key actions, "Contributing to Sustainable Community Development," we aim to "connect with the next generation under the age of 20 and contribute to community revitalization" by 2030.

Furthermore, on Saturday, April 27, a talk event was held with our President and CEO Kotaro Sawada, Chiba Prefecture Governor Toshihito Kumagai, and Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art Director Takeshi Kaizuka, discussing the future of art in Chiba. Governor Kumagai spoke about the plan for Chiba Minato to become the center of the prefecture's art scene, with the Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art taking its 50th anniversary as a new starting point to weave new culture in collaboration with diverse entities such as the local community, schools, and companies.

We will continue to engage in activities aimed at the next generation of children through various initiatives and interactions with the local community.
