International Women's Day Collaborative Event with LY Corporation on Careers

On March 8, 2024, in conjunction with International Women's Day, our company held an online lecture as part of a joint project with LY Corporation. The event targeted employees from various companies within the LY group and was themed, "What is a Career that Isn't Left to Others on International Women's Day?"

The keynote speaker, Makiko Clapper, a mentor from Women in Technology Japan (WITJ), delivered a speech on the theme of "a career not left to others." Ms. Clapper discussed the need for individuals, regardless of gender, to proactively engage in shaping their own careers, especially given the rapid changes described as "once in a century." She provided advice on the actions necessary to take.

The cross-talk session featured Annie Chan, founder of WITJ; Shuichi Nishida, executive officer of LY Corporation; and Christine Edman, executive officer of our company. They exchanged views on addressing the gender gap, including male awareness, pathways to management, and diversity in career design.

Our company will continue to actively disseminate information and initiatives to promote understanding of DE&I, contributing to the creation of a society where everyone involved in fashion can realize their potential.
