Introduction of the Air Conditioning Optimization Control System "EMS-AI" at Logistics Center "ZOZOBASE NARASHINO 1"
As of June 2023, we have introduced the air conditioning optimization control system "EMS-AI" (*) at our Logistics Center "ZOZOBASE NARASHINO 1" to promote energy conservation.
"ZOZOBASE NARASHINO 1" uses approximately 5.4 million kWh of electricity annually, of which air conditioning accounts for about 50%. The introduction of EMS-AI automatically optimizes air conditioning temperature control, and the demonstration experiment conducted from February 2020 to February 2021 resulted in a 20% reduction in air conditioning power consumption compared to FY 2018.This translates to a reduction of approximately 378 tons of CO2 for the fiscal year 2018.
We will continue to strive for CO2 reduction and energy conservation by implementing environmentally conscious practices at each of our locations.
(*) EMS-AI stands for "Energy Management Service." It is a service developed through a collaboration between the Tokyo University-based venture company Mutron and Kinden Corporation, enabling "optimal control of multi-air conditioning for buildings."
