On-Demand-Delivery Class of a lecture on data science at a university in Chiba Prefecture

In order to realize our corporate philosophy of "Inspire the world. Deliver joy every day.," we hold classes instructed by our employees at schools in Chiba Prefecture.

We received a request from Meikai University, an educational institution with a campus in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture, to teach a class on data science, and we conducted a class for 325 second-grade students of Meikai University.

On the day, employees from the Analysis Division, which analyzes our data, and the Friendship Management Division, which is in charge of the Demo lessons, talked about corporate introductions, the foundation of data science, and developing and utilizing measurement technologies such as "ZOZOMAT""​ZOZOGLASS.​"​

The students who attended the classes commented that they were more interested in data science and work, including: "I learned a lot that we are making efforts to improve customer satisfaction by using the information obtained through data analysis," and "I thought it was amazing that ZOZO was constantly developing new products and continuing to take on challenges."

We will continue to support young people who will lead the future by communicating the importance of "work with fun" and "having fun" in their own affairs (*) in a way that is just like ZOZO.

（*）The word "work" is ordinarily spelled as 仕事 (shi-goto), using a character 仕 (shi) represents "serving" by its literal meaning. Instead, we use a character 自 (shi) which is pronounced in a same way but represents "self (natural)" by its literal meaning. This implies we are not serving to someone or forced to work, but are working naturally and spontaneously.
