Overview

Yahoo! JAPAN CORPORATION has joined SEMA, an emergency-disaster response alliance that serves as the secretariat, in order to smoothly transport relief supplies in the event of a disaster to the disaster-stricken areas. SEMA is a mechanism in which private companies and civil society groups such as NPOs and NGOs work together to promptly provide goods and services needed in the event of a large-scale natural disaster in Japan to the affected areas.

Intention

For some time, we have provided disaster relief through donations for large-scale disasters and the provision of some goods. We have recently joined SEMA to enable us to respond more swiftly to disaster relief as an apparel company in the field of clothing, where demand is rising at evacuation centers and other locations in the event of a disaster. We intend to continue to provide a variety of disaster relief services, including apparel.
