ZOZO receives the highest MSCI ESG rating of "AAA" for the first time

ZOZO, Inc. (headquartered in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, Representative Director, President & CEO: SAWADA Kotaro), which operates the fashion e-commerce ZOZOTOWN, is pleased to announce that it has received the highest rating of "AAA" for the first time in the "MSCI ESG Ratings" as of November 2024.

The "MSCI ESG Ratings" are a rating system by MSCI Inc. (Morgan Stanley Capital International), a U.S.-based firm, that comprehensively analyzes how effectively companies manage industry-specific ESG-related risks. Companies are rated on a seven-tier scale, ranging from the highest rating of "AAA" to the lowest of "CCC."

ZOZO has been selected as a constituent of the "MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index" and "MSCI Japan Equity Empowering Women Index (WIN)," (*1) and the company has been selected as a constituent of all six ESG indices for Japanese equities (*2) adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

ZOZO announced Sustainability Statement "Fashion Connects and Leads us to a Sustainable Future." and four Key Actions (*3) in April 2021, and has worked on enhancing sustainable growth as a company and solving environmental and social issues. ZOZO will keep working on achieving the goal it has set, and to realize a sustainable world of fashion that considers the environment and society.
