2023 Pride Month Initiatives
In June, during the global "Pride Month," which raises awareness for LGBTQIA+ communities worldwide, we participated in initiatives showcasing solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community. We expressed our support for the "Business for Marriage Equality" campaign, which advocates for marriage equality (legalization of same-sex marriage) in Japan. Additionally, we made donations to "Marriage For All Japan – Freedom to Marry for Everyone" and the certified NPO "ReBit."
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, one of our key actions has been promoting "Promote diversity and inclusion among everyone involved in fashion. We have revised internal regulations to include same-sex partners in the definition of "spouse" (*1) and implemented various internal awareness-raising initiatives to deepen understanding of LGBTQIA+. For two consecutive years, we have been awarded the highest "Gold" certification in the "PRIDE Index 2022," recognizing our efforts towards sexual minority inclusion in the workplace (*2).

This year, we plan to conduct On-Demand-Delivery Classes with a theme of "Diversity" for the next generation and implement internal awareness-raising initiatives in collaboration with group companies. Our goal is to strive for a society where everyone is treated fairly, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, and we are committed to working throughout the year to achieve this.
Moving forward, we will continue our efforts to promote Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, creating an environment where each individual can unleash their potential.
