ZOZO to Adopt 100% Effectively Renewable Energy Across All Sites
ZOZO, Inc. (headquartered in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, Representative Director, President & CEO: SAWADA Kotaro), which operates the fashion e-commerce ZOZOTOWN will adopt 100% effectively renewable energy for electricity consumption across all of its sites during the current fiscal year. This initiative is estimated to reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 13,576 tons annually.
The electricity introduced under this initiative qualifies as effectively renewable energy, primarily derived from solar power and certified through tracking-based Non-fossil certificates and other instruments. The Company has progressively introduced renewable energy at key locations, including its headquarters and the logistics centers, ZOZOBASE.*¹ With the latest adoption at “DPL Tsukuba Chuo,” all of the Company’s sites will now shift to renewable energy sources.
The Company has set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality in its business operations by FY2030.*² In September 2025, the Company’s greenhouse gas (“GHG”) reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (“SBTi”) as science-based reduction targets, confirming that the targets are aligned with the 1.5°C goal.*³
The Company will continue promoting GHG reduction—including those of its group companies—while addressing environmental and social issues under its Sustainability Statement, “Fashion Connects and Leads us to a Sustainable Future.”
