Participation in Environmental Conservation Event "Shibuya and Plogging"

We sponsored and participated in the environmental conservation event "Shibuya and Plogging," held on November 23, 2023 (Thursday, National Holiday), organized by the "Ocean Taro Association" and "Plogging Japan Association." This marks our second consecutive year of participation. In this event, brands deeply associated with Shibuya, a fashion epicenter, joined in "plogging," a cleanup activity combining jogging with picking up trash.

On the day of the event, around 70 participants, including our employees, fashion industry professionals, and their families, collected approximately 22 kilograms of trash during one hour of plogging. This collection included PET bottles, which are planned to be recycled into new fashion materials using UpDRIFT®️ (*) technology. Since 2023, we have been manufacturing and selling products using UpDRIFT fibers through our production support platform, "Made by ZOZO."

(*) UpDRIFT®️ is an initiative launched in April 2021 by the lifestyle proposing trading company, Toshima Inc. It involves recycling PET bottles collected from coastlines and other areas, and reviving them as environmentally friendly new products.


We are committed to continuing environmental conservation activities and product development in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
